Manufacturing Associate V - Nights

Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: Monksland, Athlone

Permanent Nights: 37.5 hours per week, 22:45-07:00 Sunday to Friday

As a Manufacturing Associate V, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for implementing production schedules using MCS automation, completing paper batch records, SAP materials consumption, routine maintenance checks, and driving continuous improvement in work processes and the environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Complete Safety GENBA’s as per schedule, and raise safety events
  • Independently perform all core production tasks in areas such as Formulation, Compounding, Pooling, Washing, Autoclaving, Sterilisation, Aseptic Filling, Visual Inspection, and equipment preparation.
  • Develop individual specialisms as subject matter experts and display technical leadership by acting as a 'Champion' to drive improvements within the manufacturing operation.
  • Embrace 5S and lean culture
  • Support continuous improvemnet initiative
  • Complete tasks according to SOPs and batch records in a cGMP environment with attention to detail and excellent documentation skills per ALCOA+ principles.
  • Assist with operations deviations investigations through the QMS system and engage with relevant personnel.
  • Train colleagues in SOPs, process execution, and equipment operation.
  • Provide input into the creation and maintenance of area SOPs and batch records.
  • Assist in Facility and Equipment start-up and Validation activities, providing input on equipment installation, operation, and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as an 'Area lead,' providing leadership in the absence of the Manufacturing Supervisor.
  • Demonstrate SME knowledge and experience in at least one area of operations.
  • Lead process improvements within said area.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot operational issues and interface effectively with MCS.
  • Engage with stakeholders including Technical Services, QA, and Automation colleagues to resolve issues.
  • Organize work teams locally and maintain schedules.
  • Mentor others and impart knowledge effectively.
  • Set a positive example in EHS, GMP, and productivity.
  • Act as designee for shift handovers and reporting out to DP LT/TS/Eng.
  • Lead investigations/Change controls if required.
  • Demonstrate a Lean mentality and lead by example.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to work within complex electronic systems such as process automation, SAP, and Trackwise investigation system.
  • In-depth knowledge of Vial/Syringe Filling manufacturing processes and documentation such as batch records and SOPs.
  • Familiarity with Aseptic equipment and systems like RABS, Isolators, glass washers, GIT’s, FIT’s, Capping, CIP&SIP of Vessels, VI machines, and WFI systems.
  • Working knowledge of Grade A, B & C Manufacturing Environments.
  • Knowledgeable of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Perform MBR Reviews and deviations.
  • Ability to lead an area and motivate others to maintain schedules.
  • Highlight production issues and contact relevant departments for support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience in a cGMP Aseptic Filling manufacturing environment.
  • Provide in depth handover of task status
  • Escalate issues as required

Desirable Skills/Experience:

  • BA/BSc in a scientific subject area or equivalent experience preferred.
